Fiscal Arbitrators: Carlton Branch extradited to Canada to face tax fraud charges

According to a new release from CRA, Carlton Branch, one of the main operators of the “Fiscal Arbitrators” scheme that has defrauded hundreds of Canadian taxpayers and caused untold losses and hardship, has been extradited from Costa Rica to Canada last month, to face charges of tax fraud.

Mr. Branch’s partner Lawrence Watts is currently serving a correctional sentence for fraud.

I do advise victims of tax preparer fraud, and this news will be a small comfort to some victims we know.
